Report: AC/DC Concert Promoter Predicts Record Turnout
August 6, 2009CBC News reports that concert organizers are bracing for a potential record turnout at Thursday night's outdoor AC/DC show in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.
Donald Tarlton said that as of Wednesday night, more than 55,000 tickets had been sold.
And with a sunny forecast, Tarlton said he is expecting thousands more to buy tickets on Thursday.
"We're expecting a good walk-up and we've set up several booths to handle the anticipated people," he said.
"We look like we're going to be well north of 60,000 and we have a chance to go for the record."
When Moncton hosted THE ROLLING STONES in 2005, the first outdoor mega concert at the Magnetic Hill venue, roughly 78,000 fans showed up.
